Born and educated in Romania, Clarissa Boeriu received her BA in Dance from the National School of Arts, Choreography Department and her Master’s Degree in Philosophy/Pedagogy from the Babes-Bolyai University, both in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Mrs. Boeriu went on to an illustrious carrier as a full Company member and then Principal dancer with the National Opera House of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Her repertoire included: Swan Lake, Giselle, Coppelia, Carmen Suite, The Fountain of Bakhchisarai, Don Quixote, Esmeralda, Cinderella, Paquita, The Miraculous Mandarin, Odyssea, Salome, Sheherazade, Four Seazon, Les Sylphides, Bolero, Brincusi Atrilogy, Miorita, L’apres-midi d’un Faune, Poesis, Hansel and Gretel, Faust, Aida, Lakme, Traviata, Samson et Dalila, and The Pearl Fishers. Mrs. Boeriu was a faculty member of the National School of Arts, Choreography Department, Romania. She was invited on the coaching team for the Romanian participants in the international ballet competitions Varna (Bulgaria) and Moscow. In 1983 she became faculty member of “Scuola di Ballo dell’Teatro dell’Opera”, the official School of the Rome Opera House, Italy. In Rome, she also held the position of principal ballet mistress/choreographer at the “Viva la Danza” Ballet Company. Since 1989 Mrs. Boeriu has been guest faculty of Ballet San Jose. Mrs. Boeriu was Artistic Director/Choreographer of Channel Islands Ballet (1992-1998) and co-founder and Artistic Director/Choreographer of Ventura County Ballet Company (1999-2001). Starting in 1993 she was the co-owner and Artistic Director of the Ballet Ventura School - renamed All American Ballet School. |

Allison Crilly began her ballet training with Sandra Ritter and went on to study at the National Ballet School of Canada in Toronto and as a resident student at Mounsey and Valaire (now Westside Academy), being coached by Royal Ballet’s Rosemary Valaire. She has been a member of the Los Angeles based Aeolian Ballet Theatre since 1999, dancing in productions of Les Sylphides, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, Eulogy, Brides, Don Giovani, and more. In 2003 she accepted a position as instructor for the Marat Daukayev School of Ballet. Under the mentorship of Mr. Daukayev (Now Artistic Director for the Kirov Academy in Washington D.C.), she has continued to advance her career as a ballerina, choreographer, and teacher with an emphasis on the Russian, St. Petersburg style of classical ballet training (i.e. Vaganova). While at the Daukayev School she has seen her students grow artistically, physically, and professionally, winning coveted honors at competition and going on to join some of the world’s most prestigious ballet schools and companies. She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate in English Literature from UCLA, where she received the university’s esteemed Alumni Scholarship, and is currently ABD in the doctoral program in theatre studies at UCI’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts. She now lives in Ventura with her husband, and is the proud mother of a bouncing baby girl.
MARGARIDA EIDSON Born and trained in Portugal, Margarida began her primary dance training at the age of five under the instruction of Elsa Roquette and Bento da Camara. In 1976, she was accepted to the National Conservatory Dance School of Lisbon, Portugal, where she completed the seven year Ballet and Fine Arts program in five years. The Conservatory is the only ballet school in Portugal to be officially recognized and to have integrated schooling, accepting only those students who demonstrate capabilities for a career in dance. From 1980 to 1985, Margarida performed with the National Dance Company of Portugal in such productions as Carmina Burana, La Sylphide, Romeo and Juliet, Tchaikovsky’s Serenade, Preludes of Chopin, Five Tangos and Swan Lake. During this time, she also taught at several pre-schools and ballet schools in Lisbon and attended summer courses with the Royal School of Ballet in London, England and the Washington School of Ballet in Washington, D.C. Margarida moved to D.C. in 1986, where she attended the American University Human Resources Management Program, married and started a family. She and her family moved to Ventura in 1998 where she is currently raising four boys. Margarida joined the All American Ballet School faculty in the summer of 2008 to teach Pre-Ballet and Level 1 classes.
GARY MCKENZIE Gary McKenzie is a California native. He received his primary training from Marguerite Phares, Vladimir Luppov, Alonzo King, and at Harkness House under David Howard in New York. While his performing career was primarily with Ballet Florida, he was also a member of Southwest Ballet, San Diego Ballet, and a founding member of State Street Ballet. In addition to teaching, McKenzie has choreographed several ballets, including choreography for Opera Santa Barbara.
WENDY NACHAZEL Wendy Nachazel is a resident of Camarillo. She began her training at the age of five in Covina, California. She was a member of San Gabriel Ballet and studied through an intensive program with San Francisco Ballet. She has also danced with the Los Angeles Ballet Company and became a company member under the direction of Johnny Clifford. After moving to Ventura, Ms. Nachazel continued her training with Mara Lysova and Selma Lamb and has danced and taught in local companies including Ballet Drala, Ventura County Ballet and All American Ballet Company. She performed such roles as Snow Queen and Dew Drop in Nutcracker for the Channel Islands Ballet, and various roles in works such as The Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, and Peter and the Wolf.
